Ramon Enrich was born in Igualada in 1968 and studied Fine Arts, History and Graphic Arts in Barcelona.

In the late 80s Enrich received various grants to exhibit abroad. This resulted in long periods at the Mousonturm Cultural Center in Frankfurt and in Berlin. A great admirer of the American artist Donald Judd, in 1998 he moved to Marfa, Texas, where Judd lived. From there he developed different works to exhibit at the Chinata Foundation and the Judd Foundation in Texas. He also traveled to Los Angeles, where he met the artist Edward Ruscha and worked with David Hockney. He later lived in New York where he worked as an assistant in the studio of Julian Schnabel.

His work plays out in many layers, and his landscapes stand out for their austere geometries, which vary between plays of shadows and strong perspectives. Rural and urban issues are of great importance in Enrich’s enigmatic work, which despite avoiding the human figure and leaving us with bare architectures has an emotionally existential impact.
Enrich has exhibited in Barcelona, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, New York, Brussels and Paris, and his work is in major collections, including the Fundació ‘la Caixa’, Barcelona, the Santander Collection, Madrid, the Fundació Vila Casas, Barcelona, the David Hockney private collection, Los Angeles, the Carmen and Luis Bassat Collection, Barcelona, and the Norman Foster private collection, London, amongst others.
